Fascinating article Ras! Being from Canada I didn't know who Tracey was and had never heard of about the WSB but stories about inspiration and community translate to any locale. I think their blog is a brilliant idea for any community but I doubt that many would have the drive and commitment to do it as well.

Excellent and telling article. I for one don't envy 20-hour work days, which is what it takes to do what they do at WSB. A coyote can't fart at 3:00AM without them hearing about it and putting up a post.

Thank you for the article on Tracy Record. She has always been a visionary and was instrumental in bringing the internet to KOMO back in the day even when others didn't quite see the big picture. The WSB was a brilliant idea and she deserves all the success that comes her way.

Tracy is an amazing role model to all of this city's many neighborhood bloggers. She truly is the Queen of Hyperlocal News! Seattle is lucky to have her.

Thanks for this great post!

Fascinating article, Ras, about someone who is clearly trailblazing the way we might get our news in future. I'm thrilled that Tracy takes delight in focusing on good news in the neighbourhood; too much of our information these days is based on death, fear, crime, horror and we're in danger of forgetting that 90 per cent of the time, most of us live safe and happy lives.

Looking forward to many more gifts of reading pleasure from "Another Passion".
