WriMuse
Never be without inspiration!
Raymond Chandler said that if you’re stuck writing something, simply introduce a man with a gun to help things along. Of course you can interpret this in countless ways, which is exactly what WriMuse does. And then some.
WriMuse is an app for iPhone / iPod touch, made to inspire writers of all kinds. By combining elements at random, WriMuse can generate hundreds of millions of ideas for your writing.
WriMuse includes 4 types of writing prompts:
- Quick Prompt – Puts 3 keywords together you must include in a brief scene.
- Full Prompt – Generates a character, location and action for you to combine.
- Photo Prompt – Presents you with a photo and a random title.
- Essay Prompt – For when you want to write some non-fiction.
Creative writing prompts force you to think on the spot. Your brain will connect the dots and form a story to go with the prompt if you let it. Why would this character be here, doing that? How would these elements fit together? Soon you’ll have the story playing out in your head. And if you don’t like it, simply push the button and generate a new one.
